Assets All Risks, Construction & Engineering Insurance
Our team has more than 50 years’ combined experience in the structuring of sometimes complex Assets All Risks policies and “Contingent Type Risk Transfer” models. A thorough understanding and application of the various types of Engineering contract wording used in the market such as FIDIC, GCC, EPC etc. adds significant value when clients choose to partner with us in respect of engineering type insurances due to our keen understanding of the unique roles and responsibilities of the parties to these contracts.

Guarantees
Leger is one of very few brokers in South Africa specialising in financial guarantees in Engineering, Construction, Mining and Manufacturing industries. Testimony to our intimate understanding of the Construction industry is the successful conceptualisation, development and roll-out of a Structural Failure Guarantee on behalf of the NHBRC (National Home Builders Registration Counsel).
Since approval by NHBRC Counsel in 2013 thousands of contractors sourced this guarantee, and many still do today.
In respect of the requirements of mining companies in terms of financial guarantees, Leger was one of the first insurance intermediaries involved in this field negotiating bespoke solutions for numerous well-known JSE and foreign bourse mining companies including a variety of start-up’s (“junior miners”).
